Collegedale Seventy-Day Adventist Church

The 3000-member Collegedale Seventh-Day Adventist Church was organized in
1917. After a series of buildings, the current facility was built in 1965.
The front of the large contemporary 1800-seat nave was renovated in 1984 for
the installation of the Brombaugh.

The Brombaugh, one of the largest and finest mechanical-action organs in the
country, is used for many recitals and is used by the many organ students of
instructor Judy Glass from the adjacent Southern Adventist Univeristy. The
first pipes were used for services in January 1985 and the dedicatoin
recital was played on April 26, 1986. The organ is dedicated to Anton
Heiller. The two 32′ stops are made of Douglas Fir and the 16′ Violonbass
of Alaska yellow cedar.
