First Baptist Church-Sanctuary

The organ was installed as Op. 422, a 3/29, in 1960 in the new 1200-seat
sanctuary. In 1989 it was rebuilt and enlarged by Schantz. It has quite a
sound for a 45-rank organ, with a large trumpet in both the back and front
of the room – and a 32′ Bombarde. The main organ is installed behind
screened grills in the front of the attractive colonial-style sanctuary.
The Antiphonal is exposed on the rear wall of the balcony.
